Zzzz JC term 1 is ending, and i cant wait for march holidays. i really need to reorganise my life.
Now its like a mad rush. Go home either play, surf or mug, no time to stop to think. really messy, and its getting uncomfortable...

Stressed, tired, frustrated. JC is a really big change from secondary school. the opposite sex really complicates things. it adds a lot more variables to your life, and yet, the ultimate aim of JC, (A Levels) is much more important than that of secondary school.

It really is a rush, these two years, shortest among all the stages of our education, yet the toughest. Right now, im having second thoughts about the international science thing. I dunno whether i really feel like going. If i go, i would miss damn lot of shit here. Trainings, friends, schoolwork. definitely lose out to others...zzz

JC has many distractions. CCAs, girls, outings, etc etc. as i have said, a lot more variables just complicates things. im getting distracted too. zzzzz i need to concentrate on my studies!

well, i shall jsut go on living my JC life....

I Not Stupid Too

Went to watch the said movie with keefe and jC on friday.. and i'd say that the show was pretty well made.

I'm not going to spoil the movie for anyone, but the major thoughts i had after watching the show could be summed up into two words: extreme, stereotyped. Firstly, the whole issue is rather unbelievably constructed, but the whole show is supposed to run on emotions, so while watching, you kinda think its ok, like Air (which was total fking bullshit). Walk out of the cinema, think more logically, and you realise that technically it is impossible to fall so fast so deep. It takes a long time to turn over a new leaf, but you don't get smudged in a night too. Appararently Jack Neo is trying to squeeze one character of all his worth and plunge him into the depths of darkness and back out. No way.

Also, the depiction of Express is a lot different. Its like express is in heaven and they're in hell. I can see the point he's trying to make, but the thing is, this is going to be freaking shown to the freaking whole of singapore. WTF?! Now i bet we're gonna get screwed for hogging all the good teachers. THAT IS SOOOOO NOT THE CASE.

Moving on, i thought one of the hihglights of the show was the black humour over the death of Chengcai's dad. wtf, i shan't say much, but i tot it was damn fked up to laugh at that point and i'm quited pissed at myself about it. But the whole freaking theatre laughed. zzzzzz.

The show ended, and i looked around to see if any1 cried. Think keefe did. Several parents did, mostly the mothers. But i didn't.

It led me to think for a while.

Yes, for me it was p4. I don't know how that happened, because from before i could cry at all the shows you were supposed to cry at, and like, well behave like most humans do. Then like at p4 i just stopped. Why i'm not sure, but i think it was a defensive action. I was going through a lot of shit thanks to my mom, and i think i just shut my heart out of these kinds of emotions and distanced myself to anything concerning emotions. Sure, i was laughing and all as usual, but i think when i got screwed, i would just shut myself out and erase any emotional chains that were dragging me down.

This probably explains the strained relation i have with my mom. Cuz the emotional tie doesn't exist. If it does, it would probably be negative. Which is exactly like what i saw in I Not Stupid Too. But the guy was sure a lot more mature than i was back then.

U know all the talk about its not manly to cry and that bullshit? i think its really screwed up that i can't cry, especially when i even try to cry now. it is screwed up, trust me. i was talking to yip and he said something about being heartless and stuff, and i have to agree. what the hell, i can't really fathom my own emotions myself now( the sad ones). And its really sucks, cuz by distancing yourself from the media, you gradually distance yourself from problems in life, and eventually yourself.

I not stupid too is a good show to watch but it was too stereotypical. It does prove a point, and probably sheds light on life of the people on the other side of the spectrum, so its pretty good for sheltered people like us to watch it.

As a side note, i didn't cry in saikano and air, two of which are supposed to be tear jerkers. Well, not that i'm unimpressed, but air was really too stupid a plot to believe and for saikano i felt very heavy. Kinda different from crying.

Congrats to all you peeps who scored b3 and above for the chinese test. in my opinion it is seriously more than enough. A1 A2 so wad? know chinese well enough to read manga at 1page/3s is good enough.

anyway i tot i'd share this little anecdote of mine with every1.. concerns relative rivalry.

Do you have a cousin who's in the same grade as you? then they always compare you with him/her and trying to see whose better and such. I do. i have two in fact.

Thing is there is nothing much to compare anyway. One ggxx go poly, the other 1 A2.

actually i think they're all pretty nice people, just that their parents are freaking assholes. whole day jealous of me and such try to know wads my grades and refuse to tell me theirs. oh well i guess retarded fucktards exist. tomorrow, or rather later today, o level results will ge released.

i think most IP peeps dont feel the pressure, and thats really a blessing. out of those ppl i know who are getting their results tomorrow, most, if not all, are anxious worried nervous etc.
its not just about getting under 10, under 15 or under 20. its also about worrying that if u get too high, u are not sure whether u can cope in JC. this would really decide your future.

so there they are, thinking about it, while we IP peeps have it easy. i think the next time we would experience that kind of thing is the A levels. I still remember some chinese essay written on this IP thing. the guy said IP wasnt good, because the pressure of scoring well for A levels, knowing that u dont ahev o levels is even higher. w00t!

Yay i have the honour of writing the 100th post.

I sprained my ankle on monday, and limped around sch on tuesday.

Today was bear fren mugger club meeting 3 or 4, not bad. i think everyone got some work done. i did maths tutorial 2 qn 1-5, which is needed for tmr's tutorial class. then the yap thing happened. -_-

Went pasta with Ivan Yap and Bay. then talk rubbish, take video of bay burping and commenting on catherina josephina goh.

Took mrt home with bay, my mrt companion and fellow bear fren mugger club member. really rocks, coz after sch, we all go library to mug or/and slack, then we go home together. then we will talk abt lame random stuff. Bays is really damn coolio!

Today we started the day with econs.

Great lesson i must say. Went to our exact same old seat, and sat down next to dom. Ningrui sat down behind me. Then other people filled in the seats.

Not just random other pple. Dom's beloved and ningrui's cruzh were within close proxmity of me and them. However i chose to leave ningrui alone and embarked on torturing dom throughout the course of the lesson.

At least thats what i thought. But evidently Dom's mood couldn't have been better.
Here's the event that transpired.

4) yy starts to guffaw
5) dom stares at yy
6) dom fails to hide his positive grin from ear to ear

i'm utterly freaked out now!!!

just now i was in the toilet.. washing a rag.. then when i walked into toilet.. a cubicle door when bang shut.. so i was quite suspicious cause there's always people smoking in the toilet.. so i looked at the door thingy to see the shoes.. then the shoes were like pointing to the toilet bowl but there wasn't the sound of peeing.. so i thought of telling the hallmaster that someone was prob smoking in toilet.. but then continued washing the rag cos the eraser dust kena stuck...

then wash, wash, wash.. heard the toilet flush.. but still noone come out.. then heard some sounds.. .. then noone come out.. so i keep washing.. and washing..

THEN! the cubicle door opened. 1 guy came out.. so i kept washing. THEN ANOTHER FREAKING GUY CAME OUT OF THE CUBICLE. and i'm like HOLY SHIT WTFOMGBBQ WTF DID THEY JUST DO IN THERE? ...

anyway back to talking about the growing up topic..

when you are young you aways wanna grow up faster, so you can do everything the adults can, and they can't tell you that we are adults therefore we can do this -_-

but then as you are growing up... u wanna slow the process down.. or not grow up at all..

but then u don't have a choice not to grow up.. u can choose to become immature and try not to grow up.. but that's just so pointless.. and i think growing up has its own pleasures lar.. u can't play in the kid sense [like us playing 3 blind mice -_-] but you can enjoy yourself with friends and do a lot of other stuff.. can go out to more places, play more stuff etc.

and being young isn't much more carefree anyway... i think i rather be more complicated than simple.. it gives depth i think.. i realised here i like to observe people. observe how they talk, how they interact with others. and then i probe and find out how they think...

actually coming here.. i learn really a hell lot. and i'm much more discipline. because i see the chaos that people are getting into and i'm quite determined not to become like them. and i think tt's quite a lot of growth for me..


2 years... will it make a lot of difference? ultimately we'll all get to the same point i guess. but then i just dun want to waste those 2 years.. doing something i don't think i will enjoy.. or excel at.. competitive spirit at work haha.

i dunno... what does the future hold? haha i just hope that no matter how long later we'll still be able to chat and remember that 4M owns =]

Life and Friends

Why do people want to grow so fast? It sux to grow actually.

Just finished watching azumanga daioh and the bunch of fren graduated, much like us. although we still hang around together, its truely a lot different from the days in sec 1-4. They were, how do you put it, much more carefree. You didn't have to worry abt a lot of things. And your thoughts and emotions were direct.

But they're gone. And this stage of our lives are going to go by very quickly. Then we become adults and we work our asses off for this thing called $ and dun want to spend it. Then we die. If you believe in heaven, you go there, else you get reincarnated, etc.

ZY two years early is a lot of time.. if i were you i would break for two years. oh well.

And i bet yip will become a rockson in NS. then find someone like Karen. and invent Orh-Seem i-****.

actually going overseas sounds really good. depends i guess. alot of times we go for holidays and feel like we want to stay somewhere forever.. it might be difficult i guess in some cases. but the challenge is in adapting imagine yourself in a new sch and knowing nobody at all..

then go to new place sure think of having fun and playing around. but then youre there to study. so must force yourself to study. you might actually feel depressed cos of that lol like go to this new place with so many new things to try out but no chance to.

zhiyong gonna grow long hair? cool lol grow until shoulder length or sth take pic and post here haha. had student development that day all the abstinence stuff.. united states is like some problem place man. so young get bgr, get gf pregnant and suddenly they realise they have to get work and earn money and stuff

i think nxt time when we all start working we'll prob realise that we dun have chance to study or play anymore. then we'll feel sad cos we'll prob think that studying and playing were the two things that went quite well together and it was fun to study and play with friends. nxt time work and all.. then no chance to study and play so sad.

we should all take the chance to study hard and play hard now.. why do ppl want to grow up so fast? think about career.. future job.. get into relationship.. dunno what else la. must we all grow up and learn to be mature now? stay young, watch anime, make gundam, grow old must still feel young.. and make your children make gundams too -.-

seriously overseas is a totally different experience. being on your own. problems cropping up everywhere. u really learn independence..

and i think you'll get forced to grow up faster. either that or you totally degenerate. i've seen really immature people in my school. i might actually just call them like the dregs of the upper class society. not good enough for a meritocratic system, but rich enough to come to this school. and then u learn a lot about the world and people.

it has just been 1 month but it feels like forever to me.

i've been made to grow up superfast here. learn to make decisions. choose wisely. decide your path. course selections is a ruthless process. uni placement makes u really fear the future.

and then when the principal spoke to us, esp us singaporeans, she feared that we are all too young to be able to handle the temptations and the pressures of uni life. since like we will be at least 2 yrs younger than everyone else.

the true test of maturity. whee~

frankly, i don't regret coming to study here. i just wished that i had all of you guys around still.

Horoscope

i just read Life! and read my horoscope for today. basically, it said sth abt planning for the future, and that the best person to ask for advice is myself. coincidently, i thought abt my 2 years in jc life today.

I didnt get into interact, so what about my cip? maybe do outside by myself, with other peeps? or just heck care abt cip? And how about my second cca? i always thought that joining badminton only would be boring, and that i should join a club. but i cant join the science clubs, coz the ones im interested in are on tuesdays and thursdays. then what other clubs are there to join, or will badminton take too much time?

how about research programmes/projects like SRP, nanyaning science research thingy? should i go join 1 of them? but then the problem of time arises, and i dont know whether i am committed enough...

and all these affect your future, like what scholarship u can get.... whether u can go study in some overseas university

ok that was some random thoughts. Today, we had bear fren sudy group meeting 1 @ library. Me, max, dom, ivan yy, bay, ning, attended. Initial plan was to do proteins tutorial. Went there, shared a table with yy dom ning and bay, while ivan and max were next to us. yy + dom = a lot of noise and talk cock session, so i moved to max ivan table together with bay. there, did chem tutorial 1 extension qns. Ning soon gave up and decided to go home to do work, coz he couldnt concentrate with yy and dom 's kok talking. then i read protein notes while dom and yy continue to talk kok, gosubay drawing, and ivan and max trying to do chem assignment. dom left coz he couildnt get anything done, then we decided that bear fren study group @ library was not very successful (except for me, and maybe ivan + max).

went pasta with yap bay and ivan. ate some cheesy thingy and talk cock real loudly at pasta. i remember yap was laughing extremely hard at 1 point in time, i cant recall what. then went home with bay.

i want to blog abt singapore vs other countries, like studying overseas and my thoughts on it, but got no time coz im procastinating a lot of work.

anyway, bear friend study group on wednesday @ library. all bear friends welcome, including zhiyong. non bear friends also are free to come, e.g. lawry, kenny, gosubay, etc etc etc.

New Comp

Brand new xp and a brand new look.

Reformatted my comp today and settled a lot of nitty gritty stuff. Comp is very clean now, even of anime. No more gungrave and berserk that had been stoning in my comp for ages.

Decided to change wallpapers and go for a darker feel. As of now my modded desktop looks like this. Oh yea, need to find a way to control WMP with the hotkeys ON another program.
